Refund and Returns Policy

Hindustan Herald, a unit of Be Debonair Foundation, is committed to transparency in all its commercial dealings. This policy outlines the refund and cancellation terms applicable to all products and services offered through Hindustan Herald. All payments are processed under Be Debonair Foundation, a registered not-for-profit organisation headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Please read this policy carefully before making any payment. By completing a purchase or booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the terms set out below.
1. Herald National Awards and Events
Herald National Awards is a premium recognition programme organised by Hindustan Herald. All award categories are allocated on a confirmed, first-come first-served basis.
- All sales are final. Once a package is confirmed and payment is received, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
- Category Transfers: If you are unable to proceed with your confirmed category, you may request a transfer of your category to another individual or organisation of your choice. Category transfer requests must be submitted in writing to info@hindustanherald.in at least 30 days before the event date.
- Transferred categories must meet the same eligibility and profile standards as the original booking. Hindustan Herald reserves the right to decline a transfer if the proposed recipient does not meet the event’s standards.
- In the event that Hindustan Herald cancels or postpones the event, registered participants will be offered either a full credit towards a future edition or a full refund at their discretion.
- Non-attendance on the event day does not entitle the participant to a refund or credit. Package deliverables such as feature articles, social media posts, and digital badges will still be fulfilled as confirmed.

2. Advertising and Sponsored Content
This section applies to display advertising, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and custom campaign packages.
- Confirmed bookings are non-refundable once creative assets have been submitted or a campaign has gone live.
- If you wish to cancel a confirmed booking before assets are submitted and before the campaign has gone live, a cancellation request must be submitted in writing to ads@hindustanherald.in. Cancellations at this stage may be considered for a credit note at the discretion of the Hindustan Herald advertising team.
- Credit notes, where issued, are valid for 90 days from the date of issue and may be applied to any future Hindustan Herald advertising product.
- No refund or credit will be issued for campaigns that have partially or fully run.
- Disputes related to campaign delivery or performance must be raised within 7 days of the campaign end date.

3. Editorial and Content Packages
This section applies to editorial features, content partnerships, and any other paid editorial products offered by Hindustan Herald.
- Once an editorial package is confirmed and briefing has commenced, the booking is non-refundable.
- If a cancellation is requested before the briefing stage has begun, a credit note equivalent to the amount paid may be issued at the discretion of the editorial team.
- Credit notes are valid for 90 days and may be applied to any future Hindustan Herald editorial product.
- Hindustan Herald reserves the right to decline or withdraw any editorial content that does not meet its editorial standards, in which case an alternative solution or credit will be offered.
- All editorial content is subject to the editorial independence standards of Hindustan Herald and Be Debonair Foundation. Commissioning a paid editorial package does not grant the client editorial control over the published content.

4. General Terms
- All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 10 to 14 business days of approval.
- Hindustan Herald reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking will apply to your transaction.
- For any disputes not resolved through the above channels, the matter will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
